Cornerband 30-Best-Bands Promotion

Cornerband.com has teamed up with Sharman Networks, distributor
of Kazaa Media Desktop (KMD), and local newsweeklies from
across the United States to showcase 30 up-and-coming bands
every 90 days.
These bands become eligible to participate by signing up
for a new service that enables bands to securely distribute
their music through KMD using best in class digital rights
management technology from Microsoft.
Bands selected as one of the 30-Best-Bands will gain exposure
to millions of KMD users worldwide.
Some bands will be promoted on Kazaa Media Desktop and Kazaa.com
Web pages and others will be showcased on an emerging artists
page. Users will be able to click links which will initiate
searches for particular songs from bands in the promotion.
Bands will also receive subscription access to a custom band
management tool that enables them to manage their music on
Cornerband.com, Kazaa Media Desktop and the websites of 12
major metropolitan market newsweekly publications including
Phoenix, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston,
Emeryville (Berkeley, CA), Miami, Broward/Palm Beach, Cleveland,
St. Louis, and Kansas City, offering even more exposure to
the fans they seek.
Each band will be associated with similar bands and/or keyword
terms (such as "hip-hop") which, when entered into
the search fields inside KMD, will prominently display the
subscribing bands and tracks with a gold icon among the other
KMD search results.
