200m - Hooray!
Sharman Networks celebrated its 200 millionth download of
Kazaa Media Desktop (KMD) on Tuesday 11th March. This further
secures its position as the number one peer-to-peer software
application in the world. The most downloaded, the largest
number of users and the fastest growth.
The first big leap for Kazaa Media Desktop was its 100 millionth
download in August 2002. Now, 7 months later over 200 million
copies of KMD have been grabbed from Download.com. The end
result of all these downloads means that we now are consistently
having more people online at any one time.
And we're not stopping here. We are currently working on
some new features which will take us towards the next 100
million.

200 million downloads keeps us firmly at the top of the Download.com
list of most popular MP3 Search Software. Again, we feel this
is thanks to our development team for building great software.
Their hard work in adding new features, removing bugs and
integrating new partners has kept KMD rocking and kept users
