Kazaa Media Desktop has hit a couple of milestones recently
and the team wanted to take the time to thank our supportive
users.
100m
The first big leap for Kazaa Media Desktop is its 100 millionth
download. That's right, over 100 million copies of KMD have
been grabbed from Download.com
That's more than the combined population of Spain (42m),
Canada (32m) and Australia (20m). Or filling up Madison Square
Garden 5,000 times. This is also far exceeding the 70 million
downloads of Napster.
And we're not stopping there. We are currently working on
some new features which will take us towards the next 100
million.
Top Spot
The 100 million downloads put us firmly at the top of the
download.com list of most popular MP3 Search Software. Again,
we feel this is thanks to our development team for building
great software, and our customers whose feedback and support
has been invaluable.
Boom
The end result of all these downloads means that we now are
consistently having more than 2 million users online at any
one time. This support improves the overall service.
Thank you to all our supporters, especially those who have
provided positive and constructive feedback and who have stuck
with the 'real deal'.
