To make it easier for people to find your
kreated files, and for you to find other
people's, we've created the keyword 'Kreate'.
How to use
keywords:
- Put your kreated
file in your 'My Shared Folder' (usually
found on your desktop).
- Open Kazaa.
- Go into 'My Kazaa'
View inside Kazaa.
- Find your kreated
file. Right mouse click on the file
and select 'Edit Details'.
- Click on the 'More'
tab.
- Enter the keywords
you want to use into the ‘Keywords’
field including “Kreate”
and the relevant keywords for the Kreate
theme such as “Have Your Say”,
"Travel", or “Bizarre”.
Include other general keywords that
describe your file, including what the
file is, where it was taken or made,
who is in it, etc. You may want to complete
the other file data (metadata) fields
inside 'Edit Details', including Integrity
Rating.
- Also be sure to fill
in all of the other descriptive file
data (meta data) in these windows as
accurately as possible – including
category, artist (your name), language,
etc.
- You can use the description
field to promote your work if you want.
You can include a web site address,
or other contact information.
- Click
'OK'.
Finding Kreated
Content
To find other people’s
Kreated Content, type “Kreate”,
together with any other relevant keywords
e.g. "Have Your Say" or "Bizarre"
into the ‘Search for:’ field
in the Search view of Kazaa.
At first you may not find much as it
will take time for enough people to Kreate
and share their content.
Get your friends to help
promote your content. Send them your Kreated
files, and ask them to put the files in
their ‘My Shared folder’ too,
making them more widely available. Don’t
forget to add the file data (meta data)
first.
License and Protect Your Files on Kazaa
Securely distribute the files you have kreated on peer-to-peer (P2P) using Altnet's Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology. DRM 'wraps' your file so that it can't be ripped. Some examples of license types you can choose from:
- 30 day free trial
- 3 Free uses
- Pay to view/use
- Other license types available
- Go to Altnet to find out more.
You could alternatively attach a Creative Commons license to your file. Find
