Protect your PC and the P2P network against MyDoom (Norvarg) Virus
The MyDoom (Norvarg) virus spreads primarily through email, however, it can also be spread via peer-to-peer (P2P).
Kazaa versions 2.5 and above come with BullGuard P2P Virus Protection default enabled. This provides an additional layer of protection within the peer-to-peer environment, over and above any antivirus software you may have already installed on your computer. BullGuard P2P protects your PC when using Kazaa, if virus scanning is enabled and virus definitions are up to date. To find out if your BullGuard P2P Virus Protection is enabled and how it protects your computer, click here.
If you have an earlier version of Kazaa than v2.5, we recommend you upgrade to the latest version. Click here to upgrade.
For more information about the MyDoom (Norvarg) virus read the virus fact sheet provided by BullGuard.
BullGuard also offers a free virus removal tool for MyDoom (Norvarg) which can be downloaded here: Download Removal Tool
BullGuard P2P provides a layer of protection when using the Kazaa peer-to-peer application, but for complete PC security and virus protection when using the internet and email, use BullGuard Full Version – download a free trial from here.
