Filter

Family Filter
Allows you to set the level of the filter for adult related material. The lower the level, the more material is filtered. i.e. At the Adult level, the filter works to block both offensive and adult material. You can also set a password on this to protect this setting from changes.

Miscellaneous Filter Options

  • File types that could potentially contain viruses – blocks file extensions such as .exe .vbs .scr which can contain viruses.
  • Files that would be blocked by a firewall – for your convenience, if you are behind a firewall, these files will not be shown.
  • Bogus music and video files – this means that files will not be shown if the software determines they are likely to be fake or bogus.

Blocklist
Using the family filters above you can block out a large number of offensive and adult material. If you would like to add specific words to the filter, type each word into the box separated by a comma (,). Words entered into the ‘Blocklist’ are not blocked if the file is distributed via Altnet (Altnet files are of premium quality and are marked with a Gold Icon). Altnet content that is of an adult nature will be blocked by the Adult filter. If the Adult filter is off, Altnet files that are of an adult nature will display a license screen with a content advisory and/or a payment gateway before you can use the file.

Anti-Virus

BullGuard P2P Anti-Virus comes default enabled as Kazaa's built-in virus checker. It is strongly recommended that you leave BullGuard P2P enabled unless you have another anti-virus program protecting your Kazaa folders.

If you have BullGuard P2P Anti-Virus enabled you can choose how often you would like it to scan for viruses and how often you would like it to update virus definitions.

If the ‘Scan files when download is complete’ option is ticked each file you download will be checked for viruses after it is downloaded.

Find out more about BullGuard P2P Anti-Virus.
