What is a Firewall?

A ‘Firewall’ is software that resides on a gateway server that closely guards Internet traffic in and out of the internal network. Firewalls protect the internal network from malicious individuals by adhering to rules that restrict unknown or undesired packets.

Firewall options are available for experienced computer users or network administrators at Tool > Options > Firewall.
