How can I clear my search history?

Click on Tools > Clear P2P Search History.

I can't find what I am searching for. What should I do?

We have no control over what files may be available from other users. However, you can try again by typing in fewer words. If you have selected any of the advanced search options, try deselecting a few of them. If this does not work. You can try using the new search agent to schedule an automatic search over 24 hours.

Where do files that I download end up on my computer?

Files that you download with Kazaa are saved in ‘My Shared Folder’, which you generally can find on your Desktop. These files are accessible in ‘My Kazaa’

Can you put more files on Kazaa?

We have no control over the content that you can find with Kazaa; the content is supplied by the other users of the software. Sharman Networks is bringing you premium content through companies via Altnet.

What can I do if I get the file status 'More Sources Required' or 'Remotely Queued' in ‘Traffic’ view?

When viewing a file's download progress in the 'Traffic’ view, you may encounter the file status 'More sources required' or 'Remotely queued'. In both cases you can select the 'Find More Sources for Download' option by right mouse clicking on the file. Kazaa will then perform a search for the same file in other locations and, if possible will initiate a download from an available source.

When I search for a file in ‘Search' view, Kazaa crashes or closes without an error message. (Version 2.6.2 and below)


This can happen if you have a very long blocklist in your Filter settings. You'll find this option in Tools > Options > Filter. The best way to avoid this error is to download the latest version of Kazaa.
