What "Ad-Supported" Means

Ad-supported means that in exchange for installing Kazaa without charge, our third party partners, including Cydoor, will show you online ads.

Our third party partners deliver online advertisements that are selected based in part on how you surf the Web.

Ads delivered by our third party partners often, but not always, include the name and/or logo of the applicable third party partner, so you'll often know they're delivered by those third parties - not by any website.

It's important to know that our third party partner software must be installed in order for the ad-supported version of Kazaa to work. The only way to stop receiving advertising from our third party partners is to uninstall their software from your computer, including Kazaa.

What you should know about ads from our third party partners:

  1. Third party partner ads are selected for you based in part on how you surf the Web so they're often about things you are actively searching for. That makes them pretty useful.
  2. If you want to stop receiving ads from our third party partners, all you have to do is uninstall all their software from your computer, including Kazaa using the Add/Remove Programs dialog in Windows.

Some web sites promote uncertified and hacked versions of Kazaa. However, these applications come from unreliable sources, and can remove functions, change your computer settings or otherwise cause computer problems.
