Kazaa: an overview

Using the latest P2P technology, Kazaa enables users to download and share Gold Icon files, which are high quality, professional files from a variety of content providers and creators.

You can check your monthly statement on the ‘Points’ tab of PeerPoints Manager. Your statement will include a full summary of your PeerPoints as well as those you have redeemed.

Altnet’s PeerPoints Manager does not use your CPU for distributed computing, nor will it download or ‘push’ files to your PC without your permission – it simply shares out Gold Icon files that you download through Kazaa.

How to stop sharing

1. Run PeerPoints Manager and click on the ‘Settings’ tab.
2. Uncheck the ‘Enable File Sharing’ checkbox.

PC requirements

PeerPoints Manager requires a PC running Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP with Internet Explorer 5 or later and 64MB RAM or more.

When to share

5. Uninstalling & Opting Out

Uninstalling PPM

You can easily uninstall PeerPoints Manager by using the Add/Remove Programs function in Windows. When you uninstall PeerPoints Manager, it uninstalls independently from other Internet and P2P applications. Canceling your Altnet account altogether

To cancel your Altnet account:

1. Visit www.altnet.com
2. Click “Log In”
3. Enter your email address and password (if you’ve forgotten your password, click the link to have it emailed to you)
4. lick “View Account”
5. On the Account Details page, click “Delete Account”

If you change your mind, you can start a new account with Altnet at any time.
