About your Kazaa subscription

What do I get when I subscribe to Kazaa?

Music files:
  • When you subscribe to a Kazaa Unlimited Music package, you can download unlimited music files, and play those files on up to 3 PCs that you own.
  • The files will remain playable while your subscription is active – once your subscription ends then you will no longer be able to play those files.
  • Kazaa music subscriptions are billed monthly, beginning on the day you joined (or at the end of the free trial period, if applicable), and then on the same date each following month.

Ringtones:
  • If you subscribe to a Kazaa package that includes ringtones, then you’ll be able to download unlimited ringtones to a single cellphone (the cellphone number that you signed up with or assigned to your subscription account).

How do I cancel my Kazaa subscription?

To cancel your subscription, log into www.kazaa.com, click on the "View Profile" link in the top banner and click the Unsubscribe link located in the Billing Information section of that page.

If subscribed by cell phone:
Cancellation by handset - You can cancel your Kazaa™ Subscription Service by sending a text message from your mobile device containing only the word 'STOP' to the shortcode 52922 (Or if registered prior to March 24, 2009 text HELP to 44577). To prevent future charges cancellation must be received a maximum of one day prior to your billing cycle date.
Cancellation by e-mail - You can cancel your Kazaa™ Subscription Service by sending a request to info@kazaa.aavalue.com Cancellation by phone - You can cancel your Kazaa™ Subscription Service by calling toll free 1-866-309-9203 24 hours a day - 7 days a week

Can I play Kazaa files after I cancel my subscription?

Digital music subscription content operates in much the same way as your cable TV subscription – i.e. when you cancel then the service stops. In the case of music that you downloaded from Kazaa, that music remains playable while your subscription is maintained. If you cancel your subscription then that music will no longer be playable, even though it may still be on your hard drive.

I cancelled my subscription - should I delete the files that I downloaded?

If you cancelled your Kazaa subscription and you don’t intend to renew it, then, yes, you probably want to delete the Kazaa files that you downloaded in order to free up that hard disk space.

However, if you think that you might re-subscribe to Kazaa in the near future, then you might want to keep those files to save having to download them again later, because when you resubscribe then those files should become playable again.
