Channels are third-party web pages specially designed for viewing with Kazaa Media Desktop, giving you direct access to downloads and information that may not be available via P2P Search.
To take a look at the available channels, click on the ‘Channel Directory’ in
the Channels toolbar.
Adding a channel
To add a channel, click on the ‘Add Channel’ hyperlink. Once added, your Browse Channels are displayed as buttons in the ‘Channel Bar’ and Search Channels appear as blue tabs below ‘P2P Search’ and ‘Web Search’ in the ‘Search’ view.
Opening a channel
There are two ways to open a channel;
- Clicking on its button in the Channel Bar
- Clicking on its blue tab in the ‘Search’ view (if it’s a ‘Search Channel’)
Managing items in your Channel Bar
You can view the channels you have added and specify which
channels to show or hide by clicking on the small triangle
to the left of the ‘Channel Directory’ button in the
Channel Bar.
Right clicking on a channel in the Channel Bar gives you
the following options;
Hide - Removes the item from your channel
bar. You can select to show the channel again by clicking
on the small triangle to the left of the ‘Channel Directory’ button
in the Channel Bar.
Delete - Deletes the channel.
Move Left – Shifts the position of the channel in the channel bar to the left.
Move Right - Shifts the position of the channel in the channel bar to the right.
