Lady Gaga

Meet the new soft-porn star on the block, Lady GaGa. She’s skinny, blonde and smutty. What more could the average teen consumer want? After a stint at shocking the rock underground of New York – "she gave ‘em something new-she gave them pop". Her drama and theatrics impressed music producer Rob Fusarithe and they sat down and conceived tracks like, ‘Beautiful, Dirty, Rich,’ ‘Dirty Ice-Cream,’ and ‘Disco Heaven.’ No one seems bothered with this bout of obvious repetitiveness, or by the fact that every one of her singles sounds exactly the same. With her debut album, The Fame already rising high on the charts, she looks like the one to watch. Already well known on the electronica scene- she has taken musical influences from Bowie, Queen, Madonna and Michael Jackson and other such 80s dance pop idols. Fame is heavy with trash-dance tracks and popping electronic beats. Her single, Just Dance, is just that. A euro-trash house party with retro couch covers and burnt out party-people. Poker Face is just as fun and dancy and retro and "totally rad". The singer/songwriter/pianist has been hailed as the ‘future of pop’ with her funky, electro beats and unique style of performance. The world is riding her ‘Disco Stick,’ and eating her up. Meanwhile, the rest of us sit back in horror and mourn for our generation.
